Sustainable Development Week at Novepan
Sustainable Development Week runs from September 18 to October 8, 2024 🌍
Since 2018, Novepan has been committed to the United Nations Global Compact initiative for responsible industry, with a limited environmental impact, more equitable workplaces, and support for the local economy.
Dive into the heart of our CSR initiatives, which illustrate our commitment to more respectful production for both people and the environment.
- Wastewater recovery: Lubrano collects and treats its wastewater to reuse it for watering green spaces.
- Methanization: Bionatis collaborates with a local methanization unit to convert its waste into electricity, which powers the ERDF network and heats communities. Energy is recovered through the fermentation of our organic waste.
- Gender equality: At Novepan, we are committed to integrating and advancing women in the predominantly male industrial bakery sector. A notable achievement at our Dunkirk workshop, where 15 women and 10 men are employed.
- Equal opportunities: At Ateliers du Pain, we promote inclusion by employing 6 people with disabilities at our site.
- Responsible consumption: The Ateliers du Pain site sources conventional flour from mills located less than 50 km from their production site.
“Our commitment at Novepan is more than ever to develop unique-tasting products with our customers, bringing enjoyment to consumers while preserving resources and respecting people” says Jean-Manuel Lévêque, Chairman of Novepan.
Thus, social and environmental responsibility is an integral part of our mission.
Every action counts in building a sustainable future together!
